A Message About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

by Jim Morton

WOW. We are so grateful and privileged to share with you that I had our Director of Operations here, Jim Studebaker send a check last week in the amount of $12, 707.95 to help support the children and families of St. Jude.  As you may know, we are passionate about supporting the amazing work this incredible organization does to support children and families.

Our commitment this year is to raise $30,000 for this organization. We do that in a variety of ways that include:

  • Direct donations to the charity
  • Matching customer donations dollar-for-dollar (On both www.prospectsplus.com and www.threeclickpostcards.com)
  • Donating 10% of every order on some of our most popular products that we feature as our St. Jude products of the month or season (excluding postage, tax and handling fees)

This season, we have chosen our very popular Football Series of postcards. Agents love them, their customers love them, and now, 10% of every order between now and September 7th will be donated to St. Jude to help us reach that $30,000 and beyond.

We’d like to THANK YOU for helping us help them. It’s amazing to see how incredibly generous our customers have been in supporting this great cause. We are inspired by all of you who have helped us over the last year and a half contribute to this charity and we’d just like to say — YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

We believe in the get by giving philosophy and we are thrilled to partner with this great organization to help these families in need.  In the words of Herbert Hoover, “Children are our most valuable resource.”  We hope you’ll continue to help us help them!

Was YOUR Name Drawn?

Wow! A big thanks to all our amazing contestants this past month! We had some terrific entries – and we thank you all so much for sharing your ProspectPLUS.com experiences! If your name wasn’t drawn – no worries!  We’ll choose three MORE winners January 5th!  Congratulations everyone!

Our $250 Winner is Cathy Cinnamon Holloway who shared, “I had been using another company for our “New Listing”, “Open House” postcards until I found ProspectsPLUS! I have been EXTREMELY happy with all their services. I love their capture address tools, the fact they use the “mailing address” from the property appraiser instead of the physical address is a HUGE asset to me since we are largely a second home market. I have far fewer postcard returns. My husband and I are doing our Marketing plans for 2017, and I think I’ll be using ProspectsPLUS! for a large part of our marketing efforts!”

Our $100 winner is Jakki Henriquez who shared, “I have been using ProspectsPLUS! for over two years now. I have it automatically set up so that ProspectsPLUS! works for me. Automatically sending out just listed and just sold postcards has been great for my business. I have gotten many listings and prospective buyers from using this simple and easy tool. The wonderful part of it all is that it seems I’m doing all the work but in reality, ProspectsPLUS! is doing it all for me. Love it!”

Our $50 winner is Mary Ann Varner‎ who shared, “ProspectsPLUS! continues to deliver efficiently and effectively. I enjoy the many avenues they offer to market to prospects and the variety they provide in their marketing pieces. You’re the marketing PROs… Thanks ProspectsPLUS!!”

Meet Gideon!  Baby Gideon is a handsome little guy with a ready smile. Just three days after it was found Gideon had stage 4, high-risk neuroblastoma, he was receiving his first dose of chemotherapy at St. Jude little gideonChildren’s Research Hospital®. His long and intensive cancer treatment plan involves surgery, antibody therapy and a bone marrow transplant – but his smile has never waned.

Gideon’s dad said, “As soon as we got here, it was abundantly clear that St. Jude was by far the best place to be in a terrible, terrible situation.”

Gideon’s great-grandmother has been giving faithfully to St. Jude for over 25 years, never expecting she would personally know anyone who needed St. Jude – much less be a member of a St. Jude family herself. Like all families at St. Jude, Gideon’s will never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. “Those concerns evaporate when you’re here, because of the supporters,” said Gideon’s mom.

If you’d like to help us help kids just like Gideon, please donate today.  We will match your donations dollar for dollar!  Learn more at blog.prospectsplus.com/st-jude/.

By the way – for EVERY football schedule postcard order through September 15th, we’re also donating 10% (less postage, tax and shipping) to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Get started today.

Gracie’s story:

When 5-year-old Gracie didn’t want her belly touched, her mom feared appendicitis. In fact, the diagnosis as worse: acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a type of blood cancer that is also the most common form of cancer in children.

Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. “Everything St. Jude is doing for us, and we won’t have to pay a bill? That’s amazing,” said Gracie’s mom. “Being able to focus on nothing but your child is a wonderful thing.”

Introducing 8 Year Old Leland

As proud supporters of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, we would like to introduce you to their patient of the month: Eight year old Leland!

His story:

In 2014, Leland started having headaches. His parents were concerned but not alarmed, because migraines run in the family. But then more symptoms appeared. Leland’s grandmother noticed he was holding his left arm funny. His mother, Marisa, noticed his smile was off kilter in a photograph. Soon, a series of tests revealed Leland suffered from an aggressive brain cancer known as an atypical teratoid/ rhabdoid tumor, or simply ATRT.

When considering treatment options, Marisa sought her doctor’s recommendation. “My doctor said, ‘If it was my child, I would be going to St. Jude,’” Marisa recalled. After receiving a referral, Leland and Marisa were on their way to Memphis.

At St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, Leland’s treatment has included surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. “St. Jude is amazing,” said Marisa. “Not just all the leaps and bounds they’re taking medically, and how many children they save, but how they don’t just treat his diagnosis. Kids can be kids here, and I think that helps a lot with their healing.”

Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago. We won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.

Leland loves to make people laugh. He says silly things and never lets anything get him down. “He’s strong and amazing,” Marisa said. “I draw my strength from Leland, because he amazes me every day.” Some of Leland’s favorite things are tacos, baseball, kittens and the beach.  Watch a video about Leland here.

Here at ProspectsPLUS! we’ve committed to helping kids just like Leland and their families get the help, support, and medical attention they need. We’d love to have you join us in effort!
